This
record was based on a children's book (by Geoffrey Hall and David Appel,
illustrated by William Dugan), that "cleaned up" the classic Mother Goose
rhymes. Why this was necessary is beyond me - for example, the "Three
Blind Mice" become "Three
Kind Mice," the bough doesn't break, it
bends,
and the "fine lady" in Banbury Cross becomes a "kind lady," except
when Fran slips (or perhaps protests), and sings the original verse.
